Rising Bengal Dhaka Bureau: Bangladesh has been elected as a member of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) for the next 3 years The new Council of the CND, a subsidiary body of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), will take office in January 2022 The election was held on Tuesday (20 April) by direct vote of the member states at the ECOSOC Management Meeting at UN Headquarters in New York, USA.
