An initiative to plant about 1000 trees in Suhrawardy Udyan, Bangladesh.
Rising Bengal Dhaka Bureau: As part of the implementation of the master plan to preserve the memory of the Liberation War, about 1000 trees have been taken up at Suhrawardy Udyan, the historic monument of the 1971 Liberation War of Bangladesh 'To present the real history of the Great War, including the movements and events of different periods to achieve the great independence of Bangladesh, to the future generations and the world, the historic Suhrawardy Udyan under the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs of Bangladesh has already been constructed.
The master plan titled'Construction of Independence Pillar at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka (Phase 3 )'is being implemented with the aim of preserving the exact history of the Great War of Liberation at Suhrawardy Udyan, developing international standards in modern urban green environment and attracting domestic and foreign tourists.
The present Suhrawardy Udyan does not have a family environment There is no environment to enter the park from one side and exit from the other side safely It is crowded with vagabonds and other curious people We want to make the whole park an international standard through a master plan.
While various construction works are underway including the installation of sculptures containing the history of the 23-year-old liberation war and the 9-month-long Liberation War against Pakistani rule, the installation of Bangabandhu's sculpture at the site of the historic speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 7 March, the installation of sculptures at the site of the surrender of Pakistani invading forces, the construction of Indira Stage, water bodies and fountains, underground 500-car car parking and children's park.
