Dhaka: Bangladesh Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin has said the Mujib Climate Prosperity Plan is being formulated under the dynamic leadership of CVF President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The minister said the government is taking necessary measures to tackle the damage caused by climate change As tackling climate change is a fight for survival for Bangladesh He said despite numerous challenges, the Bangladesh government is a global role model in climate change adaptation for its actions So we have already planted 11.

5 million trees across the country Bangladesh will succeed in tackling the climate crisis with the cooperation of all, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Public Administration.

Among others, Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain, Special Envoy of the Climate Vulnerable Forum Abul Kalam Azad, Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen, Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Ziaul Hasan NDC, Secretary of the Economic Relations Division Fatima Yasmin; CEO of Global Centre on Adaptation Dr Patrick Verkeijen, Chairman of Expert Advisory Group CVF Dr Salimul Haque, Regional Director of GCA South Asia and Focal Point of CVF Ahmad Shamim Al Rajhi, Additional Secretary of Public Administration Ministry Anisur Rahman, CVF and V20 Programme Head Matthew McKinnon spoke at the event.

During the meeting, representatives of domestic and international organizations discussed various issues including CVF, V20, GCA, and climate diplomacy and pledged to take appropriate measures in this regard from their respective positions.
