The Centre has allowed all private hospitals to administer the vaccine.
On Tuesday, the central government allowed all government and private hospitals in various states and union territories to administer Covid vaccines.

However, the Union Health Minister has clearly stated and cautioned that no hospital should hide or store or keep any buffer stock of Co-vaccines in any manner.
In a special review meeting with the States, the Centre has categorically stated that there is no shortage of Covaxin and hence, adequate quantity of Covaxin doses will be delivered to all the COVAXIN centres.
According to them, "the Central Government has sufficient stock of Covaxin and will be sending the vaccine doses to all the states and UTs as per their demand ".
The Health Minister has asked the States and UTs to consider all those hospitals which are not covered under এ বি-পি এম জে এ ওয়াই (Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana) and সি জি এইচ এস (Central Government Health Scheme) and State Health Insurance Scheme as সি ভি সি (COVID-19 Vaccine Centres).
"Co-WIN 2.0 is coming up for further facilitation of all eligible beneficiaries of the second phase of COVAXIN. It is expected that this portal will serve as the foundation for the COVAXIN programme," the health ministry said.
