And that is why, the Uttarakhand Police is going to monitor "people without masks" with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) According to the officials, a total of 350 CCTV cameras have been installed at different places in the fair premises 100 of these 350 cameras have been equipped with special sensors with the help of which the camera will identify the person if someone passes in front of the camera without a mask.
It may be noted that this is the first time such an initiative has been taken at the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar Some of the areas where Artificial Intelligence CCTV cameras have been installed at the Kumbh Mela are Har-Ki-Pauri, Subhash Ghat, Brahmakund, Malviya Dweep etc These 350 cameras are also meant for surveillance in various areas.
After the cameras detect someone without a mask, the alert reaches the police surveillance room at the Mela building in Har-ki-Pauri Thereafter, the police take appropriate action and a free mask is given by the police as punishment.
