Bangladesh has offered to supply emergency medical equipment to neighbouring India.
The Government of Bangladesh has offered to provide emergency medicines and medical equipment for the people of India to deal with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
A press release from the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday (April 29) said that Bangladesh has offered to send oral anti-virals, 30,000 PPE kits, and several thousand zinc, calcium, vitamin C, and other medicines and medical equipment to India on an emergency basis, including about 10,000 Vials Injectable Anti-Virals.
The Foreign Ministry press release also said that Bangladesh stands in solidarity with its immediate neighbour India and Dhaka stands ready to extend all possible assistance to save Indian lives from the ongoing deadly Corona pandemic.
The release further said, "The Government of Bangladesh sincerely expresses its deep shock, sorrow and sympathy at the recent loss of lives in India due to the COVID pandemic " The release further said that the people of Bangladesh pray for the people of India to ease their sufferings during this difficult time.
