Rising Bengal Dhaka Bureau: The holidays of all types of government, private primary schools and kindergartens in Bangladesh have been extended till May 22, 2021, to protect the country's students from the spread of the global pandemic coronavirus (COVID-19).
A notification from the Bangladesh Ministry of Primary and Mass Education on Sunday (28 March) said that students will stay in their respective residences during this time to protect themselves and others from the coronavirus infection, while online education activities will also continue.
The circular also said that the students will have to follow the guidelines and discipline issued by the Prime Minister's Office, Cabinet Division, Ministry of Public Administration and Department of Health Services, Bangladesh.
It may be noted that earlier on Thursday, March 25, the Bangladesh Ministry of Education had announced that it would open all educational institutions at primary, secondary and higher secondary levels from May 23 All educational institutions in Bangladesh have been closed since March 17 last year due to the coronavirus situation.
