Rising Bengal Dhaka Bureau: Bangladesh Information and Broadcasting Minister and Awami League Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud has said that Ziaur Rahman's BNP today wants to deny history by accepting a four hundred rupees a month knife under the Mujibnagar government.

Mentioning that today (April 17) is the golden jubilee of the formation of the first government of Bangladesh, the information minister said,'On this day in 1971, the government was formed in Amrakanan of Baidyanathtala in the then Meherpur subdivision with Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as the president, Syed Nazrul Islam as the vice president, Tajuddin Ahmad as the prime minister.

The Liberation War was conducted under this government The sector commanders of the war and others conducted the war under this government Ziaur Rahman also served as the sector commander under this government on a salary of four hundred taka Sadly, BNP does not observe this historic Mujibnagar Day.

Dr Hasan Mahmud said BNP does not celebrate many things They do not celebrate Bangabandhu's birthday, they do not celebrate 7th March, they do not celebrate Mujibnagar Day This proves that they want to deny history But history is that Ziaur Rahman was employed under this government for a salary of four hundred rupees and today BNP is the main patron of anti-liberation forces, communal groups who want to turn the country into a communal state.

Expressing his conviction to take the country forward in a non-communal spirit, Minister Hasan Mahmud said, "On this day of the golden jubilee of the formation of the first government of Bangladesh, we are convinced that we will take the country forward as the non-communal state by defeating all the evil forces that our erstwhile freedom fighters had created under the leadership of Bangabandhu.
