Rising Bengal Dhaka Bureau: Inspector General of Police, Bangladesh Dr Benazir Ahmed BPM (Bar) has directed all the heads of police units to strictly adhere to government regulations from April 14 to April 21 to prevent the spread of corona infection in Bangladesh.

The IGP said that during the government restrictions, no one should go out of the house unnecessarily If you go out in an emergency, you must use a police movement pass If you go out for an emergency, you must wear a mask and follow other hygiene rules.

The IGP directed the police officials to follow the government regulations with patience and wisdom and said that the movement of vehicles carrying food, medicine, manufacturing goods and other emergency services should be made seamless.

The IGP stressed on taking necessary legal measures through regular monitoring so that no person or group can disturb social harmony by spreading rumours and uploading misleading posts, comments or pictures hurting religious sentiments on the occasion of Covid-19, lockdown, Ramadan through social media.

The IGP informed the meeting that the workers can travel from one district to another under the special transport arrangements of the concerned district administration for the transportation of agricultural laborers in case of emergency in the Boro paddy harvest The IGP strictly said that no extortion will be tolerated on the highway during Ramadan.

He said that no gathering and iftar mahfil can be organized inside or outside the mosque during the Juma and Waqt prayers in the holy month of Ramadan Intelligence surveillance should be increased to prevent the distribution of posters and leaflets of banned militant outfits and religious extremist groups on the occasion of Ramadan.

Public gatherings should be avoided for the distribution of Zakat, Fitra, food items, etc on the occasion of Ramadan.

The IGP said many people may leave Dhaka and other cities for their homes in villages during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, while security of their homes and homes will be ensured.

The IGP directed the authorities concerned to cooperate in preventing the price hike of essential commodities by creating artificial crisis during Ramadan.

The IGP also directed to take action against loud honking and speeding vehicles during the night in Ramadan.
