The Ministry of Religious Affairs guidelines on Eid-ul-Fitr prayer congregation in Bangladesh.
Rising Bengal Dhaka Bureau: The Ministry of Religious Affairs on Monday (April 26) issued a circular giving some guidelines regarding the congregational prayers of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr in Bangladesh in 1442 AH / 2021 following hygiene rules in the wake of the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
The circular mentioned that the Islamic Shariah encourages Eid-ul-Fitr prayers in Eidgahs or open spaces But considering the risk to the lives of the Muslims due to the current coronavirus situation all over the world and also in Bangladesh, this year's Eid prayer congregation instead of Eidgahs or open spaces is requested to be held in a nearby mosque.
If necessary, multiple Eid congregations can be held in the same mosque No carpeting can be done in the mosque during Eid prayer congregation The entire mosque must be cleaned with disinfectant before the prayer Each and every Muslim can bring a janamaat on their own responsibility.
To prevent the spread of coronavirus, soap and hand sanitizers should be kept at the place of wudu in the mosque; To ensure the safety of the public, instructions of the Department of Health Services, local administration and law enforcement agencies must be followed; To prevent the spread of coronavirus, everyone must come to the mosque from their homes and wash their hands with soap for at least 20 seconds during wudu; The congregation must wear masks.
The reserved jamaat and hats in the mosque must be used; Social distancing and hygiene must be followed while standing in queue during Eid prayers; Children, elderly, any sick person and those serving the sick cannot attend Eid prayers; To ensure public safety, instructions of the Department of Health Services, local administration and law enforcement agencies must be followed; To avoid the spread of coronavirus, the congregation must avoid noise and handshakes at the end of the mosque; To protect the holy Eid ul-Fitr from the coronavirus, the committee of Imams and Imams of the Holy Mosque are going to the Al-Khateebar and Al-Amin to conduct the prayers at the end of the Eid prayers; To avoid the spread of coronavirus, the committee of Imam Khateebr and Imam Khateebr Al-Amin are going to the mosque.

The circular further said that in the current situation, it is very important to follow hygiene rules Some instructions have already been issued for prayers in mosques Public gatherings are also banned across the country due to the coronavirus outbreak In continuation of this, the public health department has been requested to hold congregations for the holy Eid-ul-Fitr prayer of 1442 AH / 2021 with special precautions, including the instructions issued by the Bangladesh Health Service Department.
