A case of rape has been registered against Sonia Gandhi's personal secretary.
Rising Bengal News Bureau: An FIR has been registered against PP Madhavan, the personal secretary of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, under sections 376 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code at Uttam Nagar Police Station in Delhi A 26-year-old woman has accused PP Madhavan of raping her on the promise of a job and marriage.
The woman has alleged that Madhavan called her for an interview at a house in Sunder Nagar on 21 January 2022 The victim was then allegedly raped multiple times During the investigation, the victim has given a statement to the police that PP Madhavan promised to marry her She had divorced herself.
However, one day when PP Madhavan was talking to the victim on the phone, he suddenly said that his wife had found out about the rape The victim then started pressing for marriage At one point, he stopped calling and texting her Allegedly, Madhavan sent a man to the victim's house and threatened her with dire consequences if she did not talk to him.
Madhavan has denied the entire allegation, however, he claims that he was brought to him for political reasons.
