The place where the eyes meet is called Arshinagara, by Shaktas, the place where the eyes meet. The place where the eyes meet is called Arshinagara by the followers of the cults like the Aul-Baul-Kartavaja. Since this is the place where the mind is, it is here that the man of the mind, called the "Parashi," resides. And to go to Arshinagara, the place of the body's ajna-chakra, one has to meet the man.

The talk was about Kartavja. The originator of Kartavjaism is Aulchand of Ghoshpara, Nadia. Devotees believe him to be Gorachand, an incarnation of Srichaitanya. They believe Gorachand was lost in Gopinath's temple at Shrikshetra Puri. Then he appeared in the form of Aulchand in Ghoshpara. In this incarnation, he created the Kartavja Dharmapatha for the dead. It is said that in 1694, a villager named Mahadev of Ula village near Shantipur in Nadia district, got a baby boy in a drinking bottle. It was a full moon day. From there the child was named "Purnachandra." He became a scholar by reading various scriptures and later became a Vaishnav. He was named "Aulchand." He then left home.
Nodiyar came to Ghoshpara. Ramsharan Pal's second wife Saraswati, who lived there, was dying. Aulchand brought mud from the pond and smeared it all over Saraswati. Saraswati recovered after a while. She was later known as "Sati Maa." These 22 disciples of Aulchand.

One of the most prominent among them is Ramsharan Pal of Sadgop clan of Ghoshpara, Muratipur. However, the above list does not name Ramsharan Pal. He was one of the main disciples of Aulchand. The name of the second wife of this Ramsharan Pal is Saraswati. The initials of this Saraswati and the last letter "Ti" together are "Sati." To the devotees, "Sati Maa." And the only child of Ramsharan and Sati Maa is Dulal Chand. Dulal Chand took the name "Lalshashi" by replacing Dulal's "Lal" and Chand with his synonym "Shashi."
What is "Gurupuja" for Brahmanical Hindus is "Kartavja" for Aulchand Panthis. "Not any Murti Puja, only Gurupuja is the path of Kartavja sect. Dulalchand aka Lalshashi has written songs on Kartavja Sadhana.

The song written by Lal Shashi is the religious text of the Kartavja sect. They call it the Book of the Law. Devotees sing from this book on Friday evenings. It is clear that Friday is "Jummabar" for Muslims, and a Friday for Christians, which means "Good Friday," the day of Jesus'resurrection. So, there is an attempt to reconcile Islam and Christianity in the Kartavja sect.
The proponent of Kartavja, Aulchand, must have had some religious connection with the fakir religion, and therefore, the songs of Lal Shashi also mention the devotees meeting together on that day, giving importance to Friday. In fact, many people of the Muslim community became the pioneers of Aulchand's Kartavja. In the twilight of the 18th-19th centuries, many Hindus and Muslims joined this Kartavja group, pointing the finger at the customs of religion, caste, and creed. Dulal Chand alias Lal Shashi was an educated man of the 19th century. He was fluent in four languages - Sanskrit, Bengali, English, and Persian. < / div >
Dulalchand lost his father Ramsharan Pal in 1783 at the age of seven. Then his mother Saraswati took the name of "Sati Maa" and led the Kartavajas. Then Dulal was 16 years old. Then came the Kartavajas. His song "Bhaber Geet" became a law book for the Kartavajas. These songs were spoken by Dulal, and written by a tantric monk from Belur, namely Ramcharan Chattopadhyay. Dulalchand married four daughters of four castes - Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra. The aim was to make the Kartavaja community a meeting place of all castes. Five sons were born to these four wives.
But Dulalchand died prematurely in 1833. By then, Dulalchand's organizational skills had established the Kartavja sect, with various miracles of Ma Sati after the death of his father Ramsharan Pal. In 1818, the Kartavja sect had 20,000 disciples. Earlier, Ghoshpara had an area of Kalyani Suburban in the south, Charbir Para in the north, Kalyani University in the east, Charasbati in the west. Once the Sati Mara Mela was held on about 600 bighas of land surrounded by mango-leech orchards. It has now been reduced to 30 acres. There are lawsuits alleging usurpation.
Sati Mar Dol Mela is held at Ghoshpara. This Sati Mar Mela has the "Himsagar," where devotees and the sick bathe in the water and then rub and eat the pomegranate soil in the hope of curing diseases with utmost faith. Many Muslims joined the Kartavja sect that was founded in the 18th century by Alkhalladhari Aulchand on the lines of Sufi religion.
After Dulalchand's untimely death in 1833, Sati Maa became the leader of the Kartavja sect. Then Sati Maa died in 1840. Kartavja was led by Dulalchand's son Ishwar Chandra. Then Ishwar Chandra died in 1882. The battle over the mattress began. Despite the authorities'best efforts to keep the Kartavja sect alive, the end was not saved. Because, during Dulalchand's lifetime, a sect of the Kartavja sect called "Ramballavi" was born. Another sect of the Kartavja called "Bhagvaniya" was also created in Bangladesh.
