রাইজি়ং বেঙ্গল নিউজ় ব্যুরো: চলতি সাথে বুধবারে পালিত হল শ্যামাপ্রসাদ জন্মজয়ন্তী। এই জন্মজয়ন্তী অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন জগদীপ ধনখড়। এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত থেকেই তিনি মাল্যদান সম্পন্ন করলেন। আর ঠিক এরপরেই অনেকটা আক্ষেপের সুরে মন্তব্য করলেন রকনক।
রাজ্যপাল জগদীপ ধনখড় আক্ষেপের সুরে বলেন, "বাংলায় বুদ্ধিজীবীরা নিশ্চুপ না থেকে গণতন্ত্র যেভাবে ধ্বংস হচ্ছে, তার প্রতিবাদে কণ্ঠ চড়াক। আমরা মানবাধিকার লঙ্ঘনের একাধিক ঘটনা দেখেছি। আমরা এই রাজ্যে গণতন্ত্রকে এভাবে শেষ হতে দিতে পারি না। তাই বুদ্ধিজীবীদের কাছে আমার জোড়হস্তে আবেদন, আপনারা নীরবতা ভাঙুন এবং প্রতিবাদ করুন"।
তিনি আরও বলেন, "রাজ্যে বিপদ ঘনীভূত, গণতন্ত্রের কাছে হুমকির কারণ তোষামোদ এবং সাম্প্রদায়িক রাজনীতি। ভারতের সাংবিধান সবার জন্য ন্যায় এবং সাম্যের অধিকার দিয়েছে। সেই অধিকারকে প্রাধান্য দিয়ে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার সবকা সাথ, সবকা বিকাশে বিশ্বাসী। সেভাবে প্রকল্প রূপায়িত করে"।
