রাইজি়ং বেঙ্গল নিউজ় ব্যুরো: সোমবারে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে রাষ্ট্রপতি নির্বাচন। এই নির্বাচনের ফল বেরোবে ২১শে জুলাই তারিখে। এই নির্বাচনের মাধ্যমেই নির্ধারিত হবে রাষ্ট্রপতি পদের ভবিষ্যৎ। উল্লেখ, এই নির্বাচন এক পদপ্রার্থী হলেন দ্রৌপদী মুর্মু এবং অপর পদপ্রার্থী হলেন যশবন্ত সিনহা।
দেশজুড়ে বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে সোমবার সকাল থেকে চলল ভোট গ্রহণ। এক বিশেষ পদ্ধতিতে এই নির্বাচন চলে। এই নির্বাচন বিকেল ৫টা পর্যন্ত চলে। এইসবের মাঝেই ভোট দিতে গিয়ে কলকাতা পুরসভার মেয়র ফিরহাদ হাকিম দাবি করলেন, “বাংলা থেকে রেকর্ড ভোট পাবেন যশবন্ত সিনহা। বিজেপির অনেক নেতা-নেত্রী রয়েছে, যারা যশবন্ত সিনহাকে ভোট দেবে”।
ফিরহাদ বলেন, “এবারের রাষ্ট্রপতি নির্বাচনে ক্রস ভোটিং হতে চলেছে। বিজেপির এমন অনেক সংসদ এবং বিধায়ক রয়েছে, যারা যশবন্ত সিনহাকে ভোট দিতে ইচ্ছুক”। যদিও, ভারতীয় জনতা পার্টির নেত্রী অগ্নিমিত্রা পাল ফিরহাদের মন্তব্যের পাল্টা মন্তব্য করেছেন তিনি। তিনি বলেন, “যে যাই বলুক না কেন, বিজেপির তরফ থেকে সব ভোট দ্রৌপদী মুর্মুকে দেওয়া হবে। বরং তৃণমূলের এমন অনেক নেতা-নেত্রী রয়েছে, যারা শেষ পর্যন্ত আমাদের পদপ্রার্থীকেই ভোট দেবে।
