Couple's Aadhaar-style menu card inspired by Modi's Digital India goes viral
It's wedding season in Bengal Like many, Bengali couple Gogol Saha and Suborna Das tied the knot this month But the big surprise for their wedding guests was the menu card for the day, similar to an Aadhaar card The menu card was posted on Facebook and went viral The card was made in the style of an Aadhaar card.
From chicken lollipops, crispy baby corn, coffee on the menu to Bengali feast menus with fancy meats like Pathar Meat, Rasgulla, Sandesh, the caterers who managed the food wrote on the back of the menu card, this is acceptable for today.
The menu card, which had a bar code similar to Aadhaar, went viral instantly, with many guests joking about what they would leave behind.
Gogol, however, gives full credit for the idea to his wife Suvarna Devi, who says that Suvarna, a health worker by profession, was inspired by the idea of Digital India and designed the card to resonate with Modi's vision.
