Secular country does not mean right to make derogatory comments about Hindus or other religions, observes Madras High Court.
The Madras High Court observed that one should be careful before making comments that are religiously provocative, especially when it comes to a missionary Justice N Anand Venkatesh's observation came after a case was filed against Christian missionary Mohan C Lazarus by a person who had filed an FIR for his comments on a Hindu temple.

Without naming him, he also condemned the comments made by a Coimbatore-based BJP leader against other religions, saying such actions by a Madras High Court judge were unbecoming of a leader with influence among a hate-mongering group.
