Rising Bengal Dhaka Bureau: The ship carrying the train set of Bangladesh's first metro rail, SPM Bangkok, arrived at the country's Mongla seaport at 4: 18pm Bangladesh time on Wednesday (March 31).

It may be noted that the ship carrying the metro train set had started its journey from Kobe Port in Japan to Mongla Sea Port in Bangladesh at 4: 00pm Bangladesh time on 4 March.

The first two coaches out of the 6 passenger coaches of the metro train set will be transferred to the barge bringing the main ship SPM Bangkok to Uttara on Wednesday The transfer of the remaining 4 coaches to the barge has started on Thursday (1 April).
