The incident occurred at the age of 26. Shahzada Aurangzeb had once left his family and gone to the mountains to perform penance. His father Shah Jahan brought him back to his service. Later in "Masir-ul-Alamgiri," he is described as "the enthroned dervish." But how was the orthodox Sunni Muslim king "Alamgir" aka Aurangzeb in his early youth?

There is a dictionary of the biographies of the nobles of the Mughal Empire in Persian, namely, Masir-ul-Umra. The first volume of which is mentioned on page < ID1 >,

This Jaina was a good singer and a heartthrob par excellence. Her former name was Hirabai. Mughal emperors called their favourite maids after the city where they were first received. Thus Shah Jahan's maid was named Akbarbadi-Mahal and Aurangzeb's maid was named Aurangabadi-Mahal. And the singer Hirabai's name was "Jaina-badi" from Zainabad ("ornament of the house"), another name for Burhanpur.

In 1653, Shahzada Aurangzeb visited the Deccan Subadar for the second time. One day, Shahzada Aurangzeb was walking in the garden of Harinbari in Burhanpur with his courtiers. Dewan Murshid Quli Khorasani was with him. This was not Nawab Murshid Quli of Bengal. Mir Khalil Khan-Zaman, Shahzada Aurangzeb's cousin and the brother-in-law of Empress Mumtaz Mahal, was then the Mughal governor of the Deccan. Shahzada Aurangzeb's aunt was also present.

It was in this garden that Shahzada Aurangzeb's heart was stirred by a small incident. While walking around, the singer Jainabadi jumped from a nearby mango tree without any hesitation and plucked a mango. Shahzada Aurangzeb, who was standing nearby, was heartbroken. Then he sat down stubbornly asking his aunt for a Jainabadi.

The love story of the two reached the ears of King Shah Jahan. When the elder prince Darashuko heard this, he said to the king,

"Look at the strange temperament and restraint this hypocrite has learned. Messore is absolutely devastated for a maid."

It is noteworthy that Shahzada Aurangzeb was 33 years old at that time. He had already become the father of 3 sons and 4 daughters. During this time Aurangzeb's love affair with Zainabadi took place. But Zainabadi died in his early youth. Aurangzeb was very much distressed by the pain of separation of his beloved. Zainabadi was buried near the big pond in the city of Aurangabad.

Aurangzeb was very disturbed by this incident. To get rid of his restlessness, he went out on a horse-riding hunt. His attendant Mir Ashkari Aqil Khan was with him. He said to Aurangzeb privately,

"Would it be better to go hunting in such a body?" < div > Aurangzeb said, < / div > "Nalah-e-Khan's hearts are satisfied. < / div > < div > Dar beyaban mitwan fariyad khatarkhabba: kard. < / div > < div > That is, I do not find comfort in crying at home. < / div > < div > So my heart is crying in the forest. < / div > < div > Aqil Khan, the attendant, recited this poem. < / div > < div >" Ishq che asan namood! ach dooswar divwad budh! < / div > Hazar che dushwar budh! yab che asan gere divfat! Finally, the helpless prince Aurangzeb remembered the poem with tears! It ended with "Love!" in Priya's grave.
