The US has expressed concern over the situation in India, saying "minorities may be massacred."
Rising Bengal News Bureau: US Ambassador to India Rashad Hussain recently released a list of countries that have expressed concern over the rights of minorities in India.
"We have seen churches attacked, houses destroyed; hijabs banned; statements being used openly that are very inhumane to people, including a minister referring to Muslims as termites," he said, referring to the Holocaust Museum's Early Warning Project.
He added, "The world's largest democracy is a country where, just like our country, we insist, we want to make sure that we live up to our values so that we can fulfil our potential This can only happen if we have full participation, equal participation of all people ".
